Day 01: Cochin- Kumarakom Backwater
After reaching at the Cochin airport / Ernakulam Railway station, you will be met by our volunteer. He will address you about the location and then shift you to Hotel Kumarakom by our own cab. On arriving at Kumarakom, first check in to the hotel. Then, you will be given time for some rest after a long journey.
About Kumarakom: It is a gorgeous backwater destination situated on the banks of Vembanad Lake. At 1PM we will leave for the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. It is also a center for houseboat cruises. After that overnight stay in hotel.
Day 02: Kumarakom- Village Backwater Cruise
After having some breakfast we will take you to Village Backwater Cruise. A nearby village and 3-hour backwater cruise on a traditional country boat rowed by two villagers through the narrow canals of different villages. Visit coir village and coconut farms (Optional) &. A rare chance to see spice plants like pepper, coffee, cloves, nutmeg, pineapple, wild pineapple, and betel leaves etc. we will give u 15 minutes time to walk around the village under coconut trees and watch traditional coconut plucking. Then, Overnight stay in hotel, Kumarakom.
Day 03: Kumarakom- House Boat
After having breakfast, check out from the hotel, and we take you to Houseboat. Staying in a traditional houseboat of Kerala Style is really like a dream come true as it makes your mind auspicious and go on a leisurely backwater cruise along the lake on a thatched houseboat will make u feel like a bird flying over the ocean. The houseboat with all modern comforts and traditional decoration and designing give you the symbol of INDIAN culture and modernism. While staying in the houseboat, you will get lunch, dinner and breakfast. A ride on the houseboat is really a fabulous way to explore the beauty of the backwaters. After that, overnight stay in house boat.
Day 04: Houseboat- Alappuzha
Later at 1000 Hrs boat arrives at Alleppey finishing point jetty. On arrival check out from houseboat after having breakfast and we transfer you to Alappuzha. After reaching at Alappuzha check into the already booked hotels. The alluring Alappuzha with its lovely lakes, lagoons and the fresh water rivers shows the natural beauty of the earth. The stunningly beautiful Venice of the East has more than the boat races, houseboats, beaches, marine products and the coir industry. Alappuzha is home to the diverse animal and bird life. After that, overnight stay in hotel.
Day 05: Alappuzha -Kuttanad
After having breakfast check out from the hotel then we will take you to Kuttanad. After reaching Kuttanad, check in to hotel to place your bags safely. Kuttanad in the heart of the backwaters of Alappuzha owing to its richness of the paddy crops is referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala. Because of her wealth of paddy crops, it is the heart of the backwater. The main attraction of this place is the rich crop of bananas, yams and cassava. This is the only place in INDIA and one of the places in the world where farming is done below the sea level. Inland waterways which flow above land level are an amazing feature of this unique land. After that, overnight stay in hotel.
Day 06: Kuttanad- Pathiramanal
After having breakfast we will move with you to Pathiramanal. According to mythology, a young Brahmin dived into the Vemabanad Lake to perform his evening rituals to make way for land which is beneath the water and the water made way for land to rise from below, thus creating the enchanting island of Pathiramanal (sands of midnight). This small island on the backwater is a favourite place of hundreds of migratory birds from different parts of the world. The island lies between Thaneermukkom and Kumarakom, and is accessible only by boat. After the whole day visit, back to the hotel Kuttanad.
Day 07: Departure
At last, we will pick you up from Hotel and transfer you to Cochin airport / Railway station by our personal cabs. End of Tour / services.
