Kerala Spice Tour

Duration of Tour : 14 Days / 13 Nights
Destinations Covered in Tour :Thiruvananthapuram - Alleppey - Kumarakom - Periyar - Munnar - Cochin

Day 01: Thiruvananthapuram
On arriving at Thiruvananthapuram, our representative will pick you up and address you about the place in brief and then shift you to a beach resort at Somatheeram by our personal facilities(car/bus).You will have rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02: Somatheeram
On 2nd day of the tour, after having some breakfast, you will be taken by us on a city tour of Trivandrum/ Thiruvananthapuram. Overnight stay will be at the resort.

Day 03: Somatheeram
On 3rd day of the tour, we will take you at the astonishing tropical beach and later set out for fishing with local fishermen on traditional kattamaran. You will also have the option of invigorate yourself with the much admired Ayurveda treatment.

Day 04: Alleppey
Drive through green coastal belt and cashew plantations and reach Alleppey- which is an important tourist destination in India. Backwaters of Alleppey are world famous and is the most popular tourist attraction in Kerala. It connects Kumarakom and Cochin towards north and Quilon to the South.You will have the rest of the day free to relax with the option of herbal oil massage or an Ayurvedic massage. Also delight the wonderful Kerala cuisine in ethnic way. Overnight stay will be in the houseboat.

Day 05: Alleppey
On 5th day, after having breakfast you can spend most of the day in understanding the culture of the local people and the way they are residing there as it is a small district with less facilities. You will also visit the coir-making factory, a temple and bathe the elephants at elephant rearing center which will be a great experience for you.

Day 06: Kumarakom
Sail through the backwater canals and reach Kumarakom.
Kumarakom:- is a popular tourism destination located near the city of Kottayam (16 kilometres (10 mi)), in Kerala, India, famous for its backwater tourism. Kumarakom has a wide variety of houseboats and is well known throughout the world for houseboat experience. They are used only for tourists these days. The other major attraction is the Bird Sanctuary which can be visited by canoes arranged by local fishermen at the entrance to the sanctuary. Also you will get the experience of travelling in canoe(a type of boat).

Overnight stay will be at the hotel/resort.

Day 07: Kumarakom
7th day will be for the rest and free to search the place with your all efforts. Overnight stay will be at the resort/hotel.

Day 08: Kumarakom - Periyar
Drive by our personal cab through rubber plantations and forested mountains and finally reach the Periyar National Park, one of the awesome wildlife sanctuaries in India, to see wild elephants. Overnight stay will be at the hotel at Periyar.

Day 09: Periyar
On 9th day, after having some South-Indian breakfast, you will be taken for visiting the Periyar National Park on boat over Periyar Lake where several wild animals gather at different times. Overnight stay will be at the resort.

Day 10: Periyar - Munnar
After a picturesque drive through jungles, waterfalls and spice plantations, we will reach the high ranges of Munnar, the highest and the most beautiful tea growing region in the world. The highest peak of South India Anamudi is situated among the highranges of this popular hill station. The high ranges of Munnar were earlier known as the Kannan Devan Hills, after a powerful landlord in the Anchanad Valley.

Day 11: Munnar
On 11th day, after breakfast you will visit the Eravikkulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and other wildlife. Rest of the day will be free to visit some beautiful spots around Munnar. Overnight stay will be at Munnar.

Day12: Munnar - Kochi/ Cochin
On 12th day, after breakfast we will take you to Kochi, the cultural and commercial hub of Kerala.
Kochi:- Kochi was the centre of Indian spice trade for many centuries, and was known to the Yavanas (Greeks) as well as Romans, Jews, Arabs, and Chinese since ancient times. Kodungallur (Cranganore) was destroyed by massive flooding of the river Periyar in 1341.Watch a spectacular Kathakali performance along with its make-up process.
In the evening you will be free to explore the market in Cochin. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Cochin.

Day13: Kochi / Cochin
After breakfast you will go for a day to visiting the attractions at Fort Kochi. You will also visit the Mattancherry palace, Jew town, old spice markets, St. Francis church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening, visit Kalari center to witness Kalaripayattu, the ancient Kerala martial art.

Day14: Kochi / Cochin Onwards
Last day, your Kerala spice tour comes to an end. Our representative will transfer you to railway station/airport for onward journey. Ultimately, you will find out the tour knowledgeable and memorable.
