Day 01: Bombay (Mumbai):- Welcome to the finest way to enjoy the South India tour.
After reaching at the Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, you will be met by our volunteer. He will address you about the location and then shift you to hotel by our own cab. Check in to the hotel. You will have rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Bombay: - One of the ‘Mega-cities’ of India.

Urban agglomeration is the highest in this city. As the world's largest textile market, a major industrial center, the seat of Indian film industry (said to be the Bollywood) and country's busiest port handling over 40 percent of India maritime trade. Mumbai is said to be the city of dreams and fortunes.
Breakfast follows a Half day trip to
Elephanta Cave Island to explore beautiful ancient sculptures.
Later during the day visit notable attractions of the city which includes Dhobi Ghat, Crawford market, Marine drive and old mansions of Colaba area.
Mumbai has no recorded ancient past. Gateway of India is the main attraction of this city. This is the main point while coming towards the harbour.
Day 03: Mumbai – Kochi: - Venice of the east
On the third day of the south India tour you will fly to Kochi. After some leisure in your hotel proceed for a short sightseeing tour of Cochin.

Day 04: Kochi - Alleppey - Houseboat
Breakfast follows transfer to Alleppey by road.

Day 05: Kumarakom: - Man-made island in the Vembanad lake

Detailed Itinerary: - Alight your houseboat and check in your resort at Kumarakom. Kumarakom is an island with a beautiful bird-sanctuary and extremely serene atmosphere.
It is a gorgeous backwater destination situated on the banks of Vembanad Lake.
Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (also known as Vembanad Bird Sanctuary) is situated at Kumarakom in Kottayam district in the Indian state of Kerala, on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Set in the Kerala Backwaters the bird sanctuary is an ornithologist's paradise and a favourite haunt of migratory birds. Siberian crane, Parrot, teal, lark, flycatcher and other birds are seen here during their respective migratory seasons. Some of the migratory birds come from the Himalayas, and a few from far away Siberia.
Dawn is the ideal time for bird watching when the birds prepare to leave their forest homes and fly over the lake. An early morning trek, well before sunrise, is recommended for avid bird watchers.

Day 06: Kumarakom - Periyar
Early Morning: Drive to Periyar (100 kms/03 hrs) and on arrival, check in at hotel.

Day 07: Periyar

Detailed Itinerary: - Periyar – Spread-eagled over an area of 777 sq. km, this wildlife sanctuary has about 35 tigers and leopards. This wildlife sanctuary is situated in the hills of the Western Ghats in the state of Kerala. The park encompasses a 26 sq. km artificial lake and is the home of sambars, wild boars, elephants and antelopes which can be occasionally seen on the banks of the river during a boat cruise.
Artificial lake is the main attraction. Periyar, otherwise, blessed by nature has huge amount of tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations and has luxuriant greenery.
Go for a morning cruise along the Periyar River and check out wild elephants enjoying themselves in the cool water. They become too wild when they are in need of food or somebody disturbs them without any work. Then, return back to the resort for your overnight stay.
Day 08: Periyar – Madurai: - ‘Athens of India’.
In morning: Drive out of Kerala hills and reach Tamilnadu plains, the Dravidian heartland.

Detailed Itinerary: - Madurai also called ‘city of celebrations’. Meenakshi Amman temple is the second largest temple in India. Different episodes of demons, animals also found expressions in the temple. They are still intact. Madurai is basically renowned for its temples.
Nayak mahal bears the Rajasthani and Indo-serasenic architectural style. There you can watch attractive sound and light show narrating the glorious days of the Nayak kings. Visit the Mariamman teppakulam holy pond. It is very famous for its holy water. You can walk up and down the temple, take to visit the temple.

Day 09: Madurai –Thanjavur: - Famous as a cultural center
After having breakfast, drive to the fertile rice growing plains of River Cauvery, via Tiruchirapally.

Detailed Itinerary: - Tanjore of the British day is called Thanjavur. Tanjore district town in the midst of the Cauveri valley has become a cultural center. This valley is made by the Cauveri River which originated in the neighboring Karnataka state. Even now the mornings and evenings of Tanjore lanes and by-lanes become alive with the sound of classical music and rhymes of classical dances (Bharatnatyam). There, you will visit the Srirangam temple and then continue to the Chola citadel of Tanjore. Visit the World heritage Brihadishvara temple.

Day 10: Thanjavur- Pondicherry: - ‘the land of beautiful boulevards, gothic structures and
Quiet beaches’.
After breakfast you will be driven to the erstwhile French colony of Pondicherry.

Detailed Itinerary: - Pondicherry, the symbol of liberty, equality, and fraternity-is globally renowned for the Sree Aurobindo Ashram. Ashram is situated in the white town. Auroville –the ‘City of Dawn’ is the realized dream of the disciples of Sree Aurobindo. Its founder was the Sree Aurobindo Society. It is the famous center for spiritual learning and meditation.
The South is the land of temples and Pondicherry is no exception – there are more than 350 temples around the place. 75 out these are of Vinayak/Kartikeya’s temples. Visit all the above mentioned places and enjoy the boat house of Pondicherry.

Day 11: Pondicherry

Day 12: Pondicherry – Mahabalipuram - Classified by UNESCO as world Heritage side.
Driving through fertile Coromondal coastline, you will reach Mahabalipuram.

Day 13: Mahabalipuram – Chennai
In the morning you can go for a walk over the seashore and explore the temples on own. Later, you will be driven towards Chennai.
You will have rest of the day free to move around in Chennai for shopping etc. Also visit one of the many famous auditoriums for live performance of Indian classical dances. Overnight stay will be at Chennai.
Day 14: Chennai - Metropolitan city
Breakfast follows a sightseeing trip of the city.

In the morning you will board the Shatabdi Express train to Bangalore and reach there by noon.

Day 16: Bangalore - Overnight Onboard the Train
Breakfast follows an excursion to Nrityagram, a center for learning of Indian classical dances set up by noted Odissi dancer Protima Bedi.
Rest of day you will be free to move around the M.G.Road area. In the evening you will board the overnight Hampi Express.
Day 17: Hampi: - city of victory
You will reach Hospet railway Station in the morning. Thereafter you will visit Hampi that has extraordinary remnants of once great city Vijayanagara.

Detailed Itinerary: - Hampi or Vijayanagar is the city of victory, the greatest Hindu empire in Indian history. Ruins of the empire are still found in Hampi. Sheer size and majestic appearance of this historical site is amazing! The empire extended up to the southern part Krishna and Tungabhadra and from Bay of Bengal in the east to the Arabian Sea in the west. Vijayanagar was full of pomp and grandeur.
Persian ambassador Abdul Razak commented: - Nobody has seen a city like this, even nobody has heard about a city like this. Rose was their favourite flower, precious stones used to be sold at any shop in the city. You will have rest of the day free to explore around the great monuments that dot the whole area. Day 18: Hampi
In the morning you will take a walking tour of the Hampi bazaar and temples.

Detailed Itinerary: - Enjoy the historical temples which have long history behind those. Kotalinga complex is composed of 108 Shiva lingas, which is arranged in such a manner that anybody attracts towards this different complex.
Queen’s palace was crafted in front of the Royal palace surrounded by water. Lotus mahal is exhibit of Hindu-Muslim architectural design. Earlier it was called Chitrangini Mahal for its pictorial decoration.
You will also cross the picturesque Tungabhadra dam on Tungabhadra River on a primitively designed coracle- a very different experience!

Day 19: Hampi – Goa
It is time now to move towards the next destination of South India. After breakfast you will drive towards India's western coastline and reach Goa, the exotic tropical beach destination. You will have rest of the day free to walk around the Goa beaches. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 20: Goa: - Pearl of the ancient
Breakfast follows a sightseeing tour.

Detailed features:- Goa is the 25th member of the Union of India. Area wise it is 28th, and population wise 25th but in attraction it is perhaps the prettiest. It is stretched 104 km from north to south and 59th km from east to west. Arabian Sea is on the west, hard and rough Sahyadri mountain region of granite and basalt on the east, Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra on the north and Karoar district of Karnataka is on the south.
This Semi-circular beautiful state is the motherland of Konkonis (Aryans). Goa is evergreen with its eternal perennial produce of cashew and coconut, jack-fruit and juicy mango. Mandovi and Juari are the two main rivers.
St.Cathedrals is Asia’s biggest church built on a mosque. It is a token of Portugal and Gothic architecture- its exterior being in Tashkent style and interior built in Corinthian style. The ornamental art works are a symbol of Hindu-Muslim sculptural mix. It has a hypnotic charm.
Later, you will go on a cruise on Mandovi River. Beaches are the main attraction of Goa. You can take sun bath and get massages from the expert masseurs.

Day 21: Goa
Have your breakfast and spend time on your own discretion in the tropical paradise known as Goa. Go for shopping in the state’s valuable market.

Day 22: Goa - Mumbai
Fly back to Mumbai. After checking in, you can relax a bit and then go for some shopping.
